We try and help individuals and organisations that we emphasise with and have an ability to help. Support can be financial and/or in the form of in-kind contribution (e.g. consulting time). In addition to our environmental policy, we especially like those organisation involved in human rights, sport and enterprise development.
Who have we helped?
In the last three years we have supported the following organisations financially, through direct donations or sponsoring tables at fundraising events:
- Amnesty International
- Concern
- Disaster Emergency Committee (UK)
- Special Olympics Ulster
- Trees for the Future
- Tuesday's Child
- Wikipedia
- Woodland Trust
Who can we help?
We are actively seeking projects (both home and abroad) that we could add value to over the next 12 months in order to meet our aspirations and interests. Requests will be considered carefully and confidentially. Assistance will be primarily in terms of time and resources.
Assistance will be subject to on-going work commitments, but all reasonable effort will be made to help successful groups/organisations. We're keen to promote and support those courageous people doing great work for little reward. Please give us a shout and at the very least we'll listen to you and sign-post you to some free advice.
What do we get from it?We want to help projects and people we can emphasise with; but we have to be able to help without being a hindrance. Most of all, this is an opportunity for us normally to try something different, meet new people, develop skills and share great experiences. It gets us away from the day-to-day work and be involved in something that is often interesting and inspiring. As with all pro-bono projects it is important that both sides are better off for it. We can't or necessarily even want to help everyone but often we can help in some small way.
Our GuaranteeTThis is not merely lip service but a real intention to deliver the best possible service in the best possible way. To this end we warmly welcome suggestions from all sources on how we can improve our social and environmentally policies. If you have any thoughts please don't hesitate to contact us on hello@mcgarryconsult.com.
