Should you consider new forms of funding?
Funding can come from public, philanthropic or private funds. In a commercial context funding normally means investment (debt or equity). However in Northern Ireland it normally refers to non-repayable grants from public (e.g. Departmental or EU 'Peace' Funds) or philanthropic sources. Increasingly organisations will have to seek to diversify revenue streams and reduce reliance on public funds. In the meantime McGarry Consulting can help organisations' funding awareness and funding prospects.

Funder Support
Whilst working for previous firms, McGarry Consulting staff provided NI Government Departments with an EU Funding Procedures Manuals covering all aspects of EU Funding; and an audit of selection and assessment procedures for over 300 'Gap' funding applications. In addition, verification visits, audits, appraisals, evaluations, and panel presentations have also been conducted on behalf of funders.
McGarry Consulting secured £200,000 funding for Wee Man Studios Ltd, NI's leading 3D mobile games developer. This was achieved by leveraging private investor funds with public grants and revenue-share loans. McGarry Consulting also helped Talk Irish with funding and have provided advice to a number of Belfast based start-ups and sports organisations (including securing a recent £2.2m cross-departmental funding package). We also assist organisations with governance and funding awareness training.
