What are creative industries?

Creative industries is a catch all term encompassing software, digital content, art, games, design, film, music, craft and culture among others. Essentially it is where people can generate revenue through expressing their creative talents.

We have worked with a number of creative businesses and organisations in NI (e.g. Arts Council, NI Screen, Belfast City Council, BMC, Blick Studios, WEA, etc) and are well placed to advise start-ups on funding, financing, planning, marketing, networking and building a start-up team.

Many creative people are extremely talented in their field but require help with putting a business together and dealing with established public bodies and partners, especially those unable to understand their specialist skills. We have knowledge and practical experience of both sides - and often the personalities involved – which allows us to develop better relations between creative industries, partners and public bodies.

Through co-founding Wee Man Studios we have gained an in-depth knowledge of the games industry; especially the mobile games sector and can assist organisations with research and development in these areas. We have also established a number of local, national and international industry contacts and keep up to date on market trends and statistical reports. This allows us to provide an up-to-date assessment for clients.
